Concrete Crane Footings, Aqseptence Group
Terazzo Concrete Construction was contracted to construct concrete crane footings for Aqseptence Group (Water Filtration Specialists).
About Project:
The project required construction of reinforced foundations to house multiple cranes used in the company’s manufacturing processes. The work involved saw cut demolition and excavation of existing slabs, and construction of the foundations including steel fixing, pouring and placement of concrete.
What were the challenges?
After saw cutting and excavation, we discovered that the ground did not meet specified designed bearing capacity. Excessive rainwater ingress also impacted the project. The factory was in operation during the construction process.
How did Terazzo solve these challenges?
We consequently made modifications to the design to meet structural requirements. We employed water pumps and vacuum excavation to remove spoil in wet conditions. We implemented full site operational controls to ensure safety and cleanliness in the operating environment.
Project result
Our capacity to alter the design and construction processes throughout the project resulted in six new concrete crane footings perfectly constructed to meet client requirements.
